TOHO™ GODZILLA TRADING CARDS    



When a brief consists of watching Godzilla movies, making custom hiragana, unlimited access to the TOHO™ archives, and designing trading cards - it’d be safe to call it a dream project for me.

For Godzilla Day 2024 (11.03.24) Super7 released a limited run of foil pack trading cards. Inspired by oldschool wax packs, each contains 5 cards and one sticker per pack. Secreted in a foil wrapper, there are 84 movie stills cards and 12 monster profile cards — each in foil or prism holofoil variants— as well as 12 different base stickers, which feature backing art that joins to form a pretty sweet kaiju battle mosaic.

For the completionists, prism holofoil chase variants are super-limited prints, with only 54 black, 13 blue, 5 gold, and 1 silver card.
